How shipping delivery dates are calculated
Delivery date estimates depend on three factors: when the order was placed relative to the daily dispatch cut-off, how many transit business days are needed, and which days are non-working days in the origin and destination countries.
If an order arrives after the daily cut-off (e.g. 4 PM), the shipment does not dispatch until the next business day. Transit time then counts only business days, skipping weekends and public holidays. This calculator handles both origin and destination country holidays to give you the most accurate delivery estimate.
Practical examples
Shipment after daily cut-off time
Order placed at 4:30 PM (cut-off: 4 PM). Because the cut-off has passed, dispatch begins the next business day. With 5 business days transit, the delivery date shifts forward by one full day compared to an order placed before cut-off.
5 business-day delivery estimate
Order placed Monday at 10 AM (before cut-off). Dispatch same day. 5 business days transit = delivery on the following Monday (skipping Saturday and Sunday).
Delivery date adjusted for weekends and holidays
Order placed Thursday, 3 business days transit. Without holidays: delivery Monday. But if Monday is a bank holiday in the destination country, the delivery shifts to Tuesday.

Common calculations
How do I calculate the latest ship date to meet a delivery deadline?
Work backwards: enter your required delivery date as the target, then subtract your transit days. This calculator does this automatically in shipping mode — enter the order time, cut-off, transit days, and origin/destination countries to get the real dispatch and delivery dates.
How do I calculate a delivery deadline from shipping lead time?
Enter today's date and time as the order time, set the cut-off (e.g. 4 PM), and enter your transit days (e.g. 5 business days). The calculator adds transit days forward, skipping weekends and public holidays in both origin and destination countries.
How is a business-day shipping deadline calculated?
If the order arrives before the daily cut-off, dispatch starts the same day. Transit days then count forward Monday–Friday only, skipping weekends and public holidays. Example: order Monday 10 AM, cut-off 4 PM, 5 business days transit → delivery the following Monday.
How do I calculate a freight dispatch deadline?
Enter your order time and dispatch cut-off. If the order arrives after the cut-off, dispatch shifts to the next business day. Then add transit days forward from dispatch, skipping non-working days in both the origin and destination country.
How do I find a shipping deadline that excludes weekends and public holidays?
Use this calculator with "Exclude weekends" enabled (default). Select origin and destination countries to also exclude their national public holidays. If either country has a holiday in the transit window, that day is skipped and the delivery date shifts accordingly.
